The Sick Minds
The Description
In 1983-1985 Leonard Lake and Charles Ng killed up to 25 people. Lake built a custom bunker next to the house he rented. This is where they would then keep women. Leonard lake began his interest in killing after reading The Collector, a book about a man who attempts to trap a woman in hope of making her love him. Lake even decided to name his murders after a woman in the book; he named it The Miranda Project. They killed 6 men, 3 women, and 2 infants. They liked to kill the men right off the bat. Drawings from Charles suggests that they possibly used the infants in order to get the mothers to perform sexual tasks for them. Charles was later caught for shoplifting. Charles ran when the store owner caught him. When the police arrived they went through Ng's and Lake's car. Which made the police suspicious of the men. When they went to Lake and Ng's house, they found tapes and torture items. The men had video taped each other raping and torturing women. Lake and Ng were arrested for murder. Lake, with his last chance to take control, he killed himself. Charles is still alive today, on
